Welcome
As President, and in behalf of the Executive Commission of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (Federación Española de Municipios y Provincias, FEMP), it is an honour to welcome you to this website that aspires to be a reflection of that group of local Spanish administrations that, every day, contributes to the creation of integrating towns and cities capable of adapting fast to a diverse, plural, changing and increasingly more demanding society such as that of the present-day, from a vantage point of close contact with the citizenry.
From this window open to the local world, we want to facilitate access to information and communication between Local Governments and their charges-elect, thereby transforming it into a medium of expression full of possibilities. In particular, for the more than six hundred Mayors, Councillors and Delegation Presidents who will participate in the different commissions and sectorial working groups of the Federation, for whom this website seeks to be a useful and valuable work tool.
With this aim in mind, we place this new improved platform with renovated contents at the disposal of all our associates, with all the conditions of accessibility, specific forums for each of the areas of management, and other accesses open to participation, along with a new medium of communication that will periodically gather the information relating to the activity of Local Governments.
